HIV Parichay Matrimony · Privacy & Safety

Your privacy. Your choice. Safer connections.

Understand how personal information is handled and how to stay safer while looking for a marriage partner.

Draft for review — not yet effective. This complete policy is based on the supplied document. Highlighted operational details and the business address must be confirmed before publication. Effective date and last updated date: to be set when published.

Member safety & payment precautions

Never send money to a prospective match

Do not transfer money to a man, woman, relative, representative or other member for a marriage promise, medical emergency, travel, visa, gift delivery, customs charge, investment or loan. Stop the conversation if someone pressures or threatens you.

Pay membership fees only through verified official channels

Use the website’s official payment flow for membership. Confirm any payment instructions with support before paying. Do not trust a personal QR code or bank account sent by an unknown person. Membership payments are separate from money requested by members.

Take someone you trust to your first meeting

Bring a trusted family member or friend. Meet in a public place during the day, tell someone the location and time, and arrange your own transport. Avoid a private home, hotel room or isolated place for a first meeting.

Protect your account and payment credentials

Never share passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs, CVVs or bank login details. Do not install remote-access software at another member’s request.

Check important information independently

Take time to verify identity, marital status and other important information before making marriage or financial decisions. A paid membership, photograph, video call or verification badge does not guarantee honesty or suitability.

Respect HIV and health confidentiality

Do not share another person’s HIV status, medical reports, photographs, contact details or private messages without their explicit permission.

Report suspicious behaviour

Keep relevant profile IDs, messages and transaction references. Contact support. If you have sent money, contact your bank or payment provider promptly. For an immediate threat, contact local emergency services.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

HIV Parichay Matrimony is a matrimonial service operated by Parichay Matrimony Private Limited, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect and retain personal information through hivparichaymatrimony.com, our related mobile application and our customer support and assisted matchmaking services.

The service helps eligible adults seek a marriage partner. It is not a medical service. Registration on an HIV-focused platform may itself reveal or allow others to infer sensitive health information. Please read the visibility and consent information before creating or sharing a profile.

This policy does not automatically authorize sharing your profile with our other brands. Any cross-brand disclosure must be explained and supported by the consent or other legal basis applicable to that disclosure.

2. Eligibility and profiles created for another person

Our service is intended only for adults aged 18 or above who satisfy the applicable legal requirements for marriage. We do not permit accounts for minors. If a minor's information is identified, we will restrict the account, investigate and remove information as required by law.

A parent, relative, representative or NGO must obtain the adult profile subject's authorization before creating or managing a profile. Disclosure of their HIV status, health information, photographs or contact details requires their specific informed consent. A referrer's permission alone is not a substitute for the individual's consent. We may contact the individual to verify authorization.

3. Information we collect

Depending on the features you use, we collect:

  • Account information: name, profile ID, date of birth, gender, registered mobile number, email address, login credentials and authentication records.
  • Matrimonial information: photographs, marital status, height, religion, community, mother tongue, education, occupation, income range, city, state, country, family details, partner preferences and profile descriptions you submit.
  • Health information: HIV status and other health or disability information you choose to provide for matchmaking. We do not require unnecessary medical details. Do not upload medical reports unless we expressly request them for a clearly explained, consent-based purpose.
  • Service interactions: interests, shortlists, profile views, contact-view records, messages, complaints, support communications and relationship-manager notes relevant to providing the service.
  • Payment records: selected plan, amount, transaction reference, payment status, invoices and information needed to resolve payment disputes. Payment providers collect the payment credentials needed for payment processing; the exact provider and information received by us must be disclosed in our checkout flow.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser or app version, device type, access times, session information, relevant error logs and website/app activity needed for operation, security and troubleshooting.
  • Verification information: where verification is offered, the limited documents or information requested for the stated purpose. Such documents are not matrimonial profile content and must not be publicly displayed.

Required fields are identified when information is requested. Optional information may be left blank. Do not submit another person's private information without authorization.

4. Purposes of processing

We use relevant information to create and manage accounts, display authorized profiles, suggest matches, deliver interests and messages, provide assisted matchmaking, manage subscriptions and contact limits, process payments, provide support, investigate abuse, secure the service and meet applicable legal obligations.

We explain additional purposes before collecting or using information for those purposes. We do not treat acceptance of general terms as unlimited permission to use health information or publish it elsewhere.

5. HIV status and health confidentiality

HIV status and related health information require special care. Before collection and disclosure, we explain what information is involved, why it is needed, who can receive it and the relevant visibility controls. We obtain specific informed consent in an appropriate recorded form where required by applicable law.

Health information is used only for the disclosed matchmaking and associated support purposes, or another purpose permitted by applicable law. We do not sell it, use it for advertising targeting or disclose it to employers, insurers, family members, NGOs or unrelated parties without the individual's specific authorization, except where disclosure is lawfully required or otherwise expressly permitted by law.

Medical reports and verification documents are not displayed to other members. Any authorized sharing of a health document requires a separate explanation and consent covering the recipient and purpose.

You may withdraw consent through the contact details below. Withdrawal stops future processing based on that consent; it does not undo lawful processing already completed. We will explain if withdrawal means a particular service can no longer be provided.

6. Profile, photo and contact visibility

Before you publish a profile, we explain whether it can be seen by registered members, paid members, accepted matches or visitors. To confirm before publication: Insert the actual audience for profile details and HIV status, including whether any profile content is visible without login or accessible to search engines.

Where supported, photo and contact visibility settings may let you choose all eligible members, paid members or accepted matches. To confirm before publication: List only options actually implemented, define “accepted matches,” and state the default for new accounts. Photo and contact controls may not hide other profile fields; check the explanation shown with each setting.

Buying a plan does not override another member's privacy settings or consent. Viewing a photograph, contact number or profile does not authorize copying, redistribution, public posting, harassment or disclosure of HIV status.

Changes apply to future access through the service. They cannot recall information another person already received. Screenshots and external copies can be difficult to prevent; this limitation does not remove our responsibility to enforce the controls we offer. Report unauthorized disclosure to us promptly.

7. Who receives information

Information may be disclosed to:

  • Other members: only the profile content, messages, interests and contact information authorized for the relevant recipient and feature.
  • Authorized staff and relationship managers: on a need-to-know basis to provide support, moderation and requested matchmaking assistance.
  • Service providers: hosting, communications, payment and security providers that need limited information to perform their services under appropriate safeguards. To confirm before publication: Identify actual providers and their roles; remove services not used.
  • Authorities and advisers: where required or permitted by applicable law, for valid legal requests, dispute handling or protection against unlawful activity. HIV-related disclosure remains subject to applicable confidentiality requirements.
  • A successor business: in a lawful merger, acquisition or restructuring, subject to appropriate confidentiality, notice and any legally required consent or safeguards.

We do not sell personal information. We do not give unrelated businesses access to member data for their independent marketing without appropriate specific authorization.

8. NGO referrals and free services

An NGO referral does not automatically authorize sharing your account activity, matches, messages, photographs or health details back with that NGO. We obtain separate authorization for any such disclosure unless applicable law provides otherwise. Participation is voluntary. Free access does not reduce your privacy rights or make your profile available for advertising.

9. Messages and support communications

Messages and support records are processed to deliver communications, answer requests and investigate reported abuse or disputes. Access by staff is limited to authorized purposes. Communication with members or support through telephone, email or WhatsApp also involves the relevant provider's privacy practices.

To confirm before publication: Disclose whether calls are recorded and, if so, the purpose, notice, consent process and retention period. If calls are not recorded, remove this field.

Do not describe messaging as end-to-end encrypted unless its implementation has been verified. Service administrators may have access to server-stored communications for the purposes explained here.

10. Cookies, analytics and marketing

Essential cookies or similar storage support login, sessions, preferences and security. To confirm before publication: Identify the actual analytics, advertising and tracking technologies, data collected, recipients and retention periods. Where required, non-essential tracking operates only after your choice or consent. You may manage cookies through available controls and browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent some features from working.

We do not send HIV status, medical reports or sensitive profile content to advertising platforms. Avoid submitting health information in URLs or analytics event fields.

Promotional email, SMS, WhatsApp or calls are subject to your preferences and applicable requirements. You can opt out using the available unsubscribe method or by contacting us. Essential account, payment, security and requested service communications may continue where appropriate.

11. App permissions

Permissions must match the actual app version and features. To confirm before publication: Insert the verified permission list. Camera or photo access, if used, supports taking or selecting a profile photograph. Notification permission, if used, supports service alerts. Location access, if used, must explain whether it is approximate or precise and when it is collected.

We request permissions only for explained features. Refusing an optional permission does not prevent unrelated features from working. You can revoke permissions in device settings. Do not include claims about SMS, contacts, call logs, microphone or background location unless those features are actually used, necessary, disclosed and permitted.

12. Security and incidents

We apply appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, including access restrictions and secure transmission, and review safeguards according to the sensitivity of the information. To confirm before publication: Verify actual controls before publication; do not promise encryption at rest, audits or certifications that are not implemented.

No system is completely secure. If a personal-data incident occurs, we investigate, take corrective action and notify affected people and authorities when required by applicable law. Contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized account access or disclosure.

13. Retention

We keep information only for the stated service purpose and for necessary legal, accounting, security or dispute obligations. Membership expiry is different from account deletion; an expired subscription does not by itself delete a profile.

To confirm before publication: Before publication, specify actual periods or clear criteria for active and inactive accounts, deleted profile data, messages, verification documents, consent records, security logs, payment records and backups. Any information retained after deletion must have a defined purpose, restricted access and an applicable retention period. Backups must expire under a documented schedule and must not restore deleted profiles into active use.

14. Access, correction, withdrawal and deletion

You can request access to your information, correction of inaccurate details, withdrawal of consent and account/data deletion, subject to applicable law. Rights available under a particular law depend on that law's scope and effective provisions.

For account deletion, use To confirm before publication: actual in-app/account-settings route or To confirm before publication: public account-deletion request URL. You may also email info@hivparichaymatrimony.com from your registered email address with the subject “Account and Data Deletion Request” and your profile ID or registered mobile number. If you cannot access the registered email, contact support for an alternative verification process.

We verify identity using proportionate information; never send your password, OTP, card PIN or CVV. To confirm before publication: Insert the confirmed response and deletion timeframe. Deletion removes the account and associated data subject to specifically explained lawful retention exceptions. Temporarily hiding or deactivating an account is not the same as deleting it. We explain retained categories, reasons, periods and backup handling when responding.

Some messages or information may remain with recipients who already received them, subject to applicable law. We address copies under our control according to the deletion request and relevant obligations. Account deletion and refund eligibility are separate matters.

15. International users and transfers

Our service is operated from India. Overseas members and service providers may receive information only as described above. To confirm before publication: State actual hosting locations, overseas providers and relevant safeguards. International processing is subject to applicable transfer restrictions and safeguards. If additional privacy rights apply in your jurisdiction, contact us to exercise them; we do not claim protections or transfer arrangements that have not been implemented.

16. Success stories and publicity

We obtain separate, specific consent before publishing your name, photograph, testimonial, marriage story or any reference to HIV status for publicity. Consent to matchmaking is not consent to publicity. You may decline publicity without losing access to the service. Requests to withdraw publicity consent will be handled for material under our control, subject to applicable law and disclosed limitations.

17. Policy updates

We publish revisions with an updated date. For material changes affecting sensitive-data use or disclosure, we provide appropriate notice and obtain fresh consent where required. Continued browsing is not a substitute for any specific consent required by law.
